Megan

Hello!  My name is Megan and I came into the York Animal Home as a stray but because there wasn't enough room for me here, I went to live with one of our cat fosterers.  Fortunately a cubicle came free and I am now waiting at the York Animal Home for someone to come along and adopt me.  I am a friendly girl but can be a little timid just while I get to know you.  I would like a quiet home but one where I can have a lot of enrichment so that I can exercise both my brain and my muscles!

Melody

I spent a horrible 4 weeks living in a box in an alley with all the other cats bullying me. This experience has made me a bit nervous about being touched sometimes. I can be friendly and I do enjoy being stroked but then I get scared. I think a quiet home with no children would be perfect for me and I might prefer to be the only cat.  My carer says that I am a neat, quiet and good cat so easy to look after.

Shadow, Twilight and Astral

Hello, we came into the animal home together because our owners could no longer look after us.

We are all different in temperament: Shadow is quite confident but not as outgoing as Astral.  Twilight is timid and hides outside most of the time, being the youngest of the group she relies on her older brothers.  My name is Astral and I believe I am the most confident one in the group, I like to venture outdoors and do a bit of exploring.  Our carer found us a dog bed so we can cuddle up together but it would be great to have a proper home.

Bailey

I was found as a stray tomcat who had a rough time fending for myself. I was thin, bald and frightened. I am now much better but still a bit timid: I am not used to people being kind to me.  I am beginning to enjoy being stroked if someone gives me food first.  I love my warm comfy bed and would love to live in a warm comfy home. I need a quiet home with no children and someone who will be kind and patient with me.

Sparky

I may be old but I still have lots of life in me and lots of love to give someone.  I had to have an operation for an old age problem which is now sorted out so I have a bald neck!  I love people and I will always come for a chat and a fuss from anyone who speaks to me.  I love going outside to watch the staff working when I am not enjoying my comfy bed.  I am a confident cat who would settle in with anyone willing to give me a home and love me for the rest of my life.

Sparky is currently in a foster home but is still looking for a permanent home.
