Donate

Donations are essential to the continuation of work, there are many ways in which you can give:-

REGULAR DONATIONS

Please contact us if you would like to set up a regular donation which can be done by standing order from your bank account.

SINGLE DONATIONS

Even the smallest donation is always very welcome The Government’s Gift Aid scheme enables us to reclaim the tax paid on what you have given us. Please make cheques payable to RSPCA York and District Branch.

EASYFUNDRAISING

Easyfundraising is the easiest way to raise money for RSPCA York and District. Shop online with any of over 3000 well known retailers listed on easyfundraising.org.uk and a percentage of what you spend is passed to us here at RSPCA York, at no extra cost to you.

JUST TEXT GIVING

You can make a donation right now using your mobile phone. Just text YORK03 followed by £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070. The money will come to us via the Just Giving website and you will also be given the option to add Gift Aid, which will give us an extra 25p for each pound donated. The maximum you can give is £10 per text and don't forget you will also pay your normal text rate too.

STUFF YOU NO LONGER NEED

You might think it’s rubbish – but there are all sorts of things that we can make use of. At the moment we need:

Towels
Bathmats
Duvets
Blankets
Animal Toys
Duvet Covers

Please call the Animal Home on 01904 654949 if you can help with any of the larger items.

eBay FOR CHARITY

If you sell your own items on eBay you can now pay a proportion of your final selling price to us. As you’re filling out the details, look out for the charity box just below where you set your price. Search for York and District RSPCA to support and the percentage (10%-100%) of your final selling price that you'd like to donate. The minimum donation is £1 per listing.

JUNK DRAWER

That stuff at the back of a drawer that is rubbish to you might be valuable to us. Old mobile phones, jewellery (odd earrings, broken chains, costume jewellery etc), foreign currency (even discontinued ones) can raise valuable funds for us. Bring them to the home and put them in one of the donation envelopes available at reception.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

The Committee and staff arrange a number of events throughout the year to generate funds, including our ever-popular fairs.

We are always delighted when local supporters independently raise money for the York RSPCA by taking part in a sponsored event, holding a coffee morning or fete. Please contact us if you would like advice or help to organise your event, or would like to arrange a photo call with some of the animals when delivering your donation.

Committee members may be available to attend a school fundraising event to give a talk to the children about our important work locally and about animal welfare in general. Please contact Angela at the Animals’ Home for more information.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

Joining the RSPCA is a wonderful way to support our work. You can also make an additional donation which will come to the York branch.
