Kennel Sponsorship Scheme

Proclene of York Ltd – Kennel 1 - thanks to Mike, Laura, Jamie and the team for their continuous support by providing goods to sell in the shop, deep cleaning (free of charge) all of the 50 kennels and cleaning all the pathways at the York Animal Home. They have held numerous fundraising events and a couple of very memorable casino evenings. They sold our Christmas Cards, last year and  plan to continue their support for years to come. Mike is already thinking about the next fundraiser. This home cannot function without people like this. visit site >

Steven Parker Photography- Kennel 2 - Steven has become the official photographer for this website. Steven regularly calls at the Animal Home, manages to set up a photographic studio in our committee room and takes the most wonderful photographs. How does he get the animals to stay still long enough to capture such wonderful images? He does all this for no cost at all. Thank You Steven. visit site >

Pinnacle Web Design- Kennel 3 - Phil has designed, to our specification, this new website. He has patiently trained some of the staff on how to make the best use of the site and has been instrumental in helping us build the content of the new pages. Furlong Dog Groomers - Kennel 4 - Jan comes to the Animal Home once a week  and spends most of the day with us. She baths and grooms our dogs so they can look their best for anyone who wants to come along and visit them. Not all the dogs appreciate what Jan does for them but we certainly do! Thank you Jan for your hard work and expertise. visit site >

Designer Kennels - Kennel 5 - Phil and his team for the excellent price given for the the new sliding hatches fitted to all our 50 kennels which allow the staff to separate  the heated and non heated sections of the dog kennels from the outside. Also for the free maintenance of those doors and fittings all year. Thanks for your support. visit site>

Wallis Business Services - Kennel 7 - kindly donated all the furniture you can see in our reception area, all free of charge and have asked for nothing in return. They gave us three office desks, six four drawers filing cabinets and two large stock cupboards. What a difference they made to the working conditions of the staff – thank you so much. visit site >

Hambleton C of E Primary School - Kennel 8 - Four Year 6 pupils took part in the Triathlon in October and November 2012. They completed a nine mile walk around 'The Selby Horseshoe, a fifteen mile bike ride from York to Selby and a thousand metre swim at Tadcaster Leisure Centre. Between them they raised a magnificent £449.50 to support the work of the York Animal Home. Very impressive feat and thank you so much.

TSYS - Kennel 9 -  Many thanks go to the staff of TSYS on Fulford Road who have made us their charity of the year for 2013. They have collection points throughout their offices, for staff to donate goods which we can either use here at the York Animal Home or sell in our charity shop. Such a simple but very effective way to support a charity. visit site> 

Well Connected Canine - Kennel 10 - Thanks to Morag who supports the staff here with the dogs that require more than basic training before being rehomed. She also provides remote support to a few of our dog adopters. She is available on the phone to provide them with advice and assisting with settling dogs into their new homes. Her support is of benefit to the dog and their new family. visit site>

Kong - Kennel 11 - Thanks to Kong for supplying us with 50 'factory seconds' Kongs for use with our animals, all of which were perfectly usuable. These simple but vital pieces of equipment help to keep the dogs and some other animals entertained by making them work to get the tasty treats secured in them. The day is long in a kennel and these help to break some of the monotony. Thank you. view site>

GSP DeSigns - Kennel 16 - here's some 'thinking out of the box' for you. Thanks to Graham and this company, who are supplying all the sponsorship signs as we need them (please see the news page for an example) for every kennel and cat cubicle, free of charge, in exchange for kennel sponsorship!

Adams Roofing Contractors - Kennel 17 - This company tendered and won the contract for some major works on site. In exchange for the sponsorship of this kennel they happily agreed to reduce the cost of the work by £500. Thanks to Mike and his team.

Pedigree Mars - Kennel 33 - This company, through their animal charity foundation, have donated thousands of tins of dog food, pouches of cat food and dog treats. They have also given us 350 good quality dog coats, hundreds of cat toys and treats. All this at no cost and no expectation of anything in return. Thank you so much.  visit site >

Hinvestco - Kennel 41 - James is one of our volunteer stars. He has paid for a much needed shelter from the snow and the rain for the dogs in exercise compound one. He visits the Animal Home nearly every day regardless of the weather, to walk some of our larger dogs and has recently run the York 10K to raise much needed funds for the benefit of the animals in York. Thank you James.

Seddon Property Services - Kennel 50 - This wonderful group of people first came to us last Christmas with food donations that they had collected on our behalf. Having visited the site; Emma and Gary decided that they could help us further and offered to repaint our reception and corridors free of charge, including all materials and labour. We, of course, accepted and they spent a whole weekend completing this mammoth task. We now have a bright, clean and non pink reception area, to go with our swanky new furniture! Cattery Cubicle Sponsorship

1st Wilberfoss Brownies - Cubicle 1 - The fantastic group of Brownies have collected items to sell in our shop and old bedding for the animals to use in our animal home. They arranged the collection around the village of Wilberfoss one very cold morning. This was on top of money they collected for us last year and the Branch Manager, Angela was so impressed by their dedication she thought the sponsorship of this cubicle was deserved.
