I need training how to sit nicely (and then I can master the rest)
Shaun
Age: 3 years approxSex: MaleBreed: Shih Tzu CrossAdoption fee: £200.00
Shaun came to the centre via an inspector after he was found abandoned in a field along with two other dogs, they were all in the most appalling condition. They were so badly matted with mats covering their whole bodies, they could not even see as the matted fur was so tight to the skin. Carefully over a couple of days staff clipped them and relieved them from the pain and suffering their neglect had caused them. Shaun still has a few mats on his face that will be getting removed when he is under a general anaesthetic for his neutering.
Understandably the neglect and abuse inflicted on him by his previous owners has left him very nervous of both people and new situations and surroundings. With lots of TLC and patience, Shaun is slowly learning to trust us and starting to enjoy life. He will need very understanding adopters who will help him overcome his insecurities and show him he can trust humans and learn to enjoy life. His adopters will need to give him as much time as he needs to settle in to a home environment and become the loving pet we know he can be. Thankfully Shaun now has a bright future to look forward to and is looking for a family who will love him unconditionally.
We would prefer he went to live with a confident dog as he does gain his confidence around other dogs, he came in with Dougal and Wendy so could live with them again in a home. He will need an adult only home with a secure garden/yard.
My personality...
I need teaching that it’s ok to be alone
I need an adult only home
I’m quiet but full of love
I may be able to live with another dog
I need to learn how to play
