I walk nicely on a lead
Age: 5 years approxSex: FemaleBreed: Saluki
Vee came to the centre via an inspector after being found with a horrific leg injury, unfortunately due to the severity of the injury we could not save her leg so it was amputated.Vee manages extremely well on three legs as she had got so used to only using three legs anyway.
Vee is extremely nervous and fearful of people she does not know, it has taken months of rehabilitation, lots of time and love to get Vee to where she is now. We are looking for adopters who are experienced with nervous/timid dogs, any adopters will need to do numerous meet and greets with Vee to build up a bond before taking her home. Vee will take flight if something scares her so quiet, patient and understanding adopters are a must. Since arriving at the centre Vee has transformed from the petrified little girl who did not want to be even touched into a happy more trusting girl who is slowly beginning to realise that life can be fun.
We are looking for a totally secure garden with a 6ft minimum fence as she can and will escape given the chance, Vee is not suitable for first time dog owners and adopters will need to speak with our behaviourist. Given time Vee has so much potential to be the most fantastic pet and companion for someone. Vee is not suitable to live with small dogs, she is ok with other sighthounds so long as they are not too in her face. She seems to like other saluki type dogs the best.
WE WILL BE COLLECTING PERFECT MATCH FORMS AND SELECTING THE MOST SUITABLE HOME FOR VEE.
