Fundraising Volunteers

Being a fundraising volunteer is a fantastic way to help support our work and raise essential money for animals in need.

Volunteer working on a fundraising stall at dog show © Becky Murray RSPCA photolibrary (1)As a locally based, individually registered charity, we have to raise all our own funds to run the Branch.

We have many opportunities to suit various skills and availability. Whether you can help for a few hours at an event or would like to get involved more regularly, we'd love for you to get in touch.

Whether your skills lie in helping to organise events, or you're more creative and hands-on, you can play a vital role in helping us raise money to help animals in need.

Throughout the year we run a variety of events which help raise funds for the Animal Home in a variety of areas in our District such as York, Harrogate, Selby, Ripon and Wetherby.

We are looking for volunteers to help with planning, organising and helping with our fundraising activity. Some of the areas we're looking for support in are:

  • Fundraising Committee Member
Help with coordinating the animal homes fundraising activities across the whole year and spearhead the creation of new fundraising initiatives, while having fun and making new friends.
  • Collection Box Coordinator
Maintain and empty collecting boxes within your local community.
  • Event organiser/assistant
Help to organise a variety of different activities ranging from coffee mornings to quiz and supper evenings.
  • Community volunteer
Help out in the local community as and when you can and when there is a need as part of a local team. Helping out with events, collections and a host of other activities.
If you can spare an hour, half or full day please contact for further information and fill in the volunteer application form below.
