Found their forever home!

Boss is a really sweet boy who came to the centre via an inspector after being found in terrible condition. Poor guy was ever so underweight. Boss has now had the treatment he needs, he is putting weight on and is ready to start his search of his forever home.

Boss is a very friendly and loving dog who likes to be with his people, he loves to give cuddles but does find sudden and fast movements quite scary. He just needs adopters who will help him along the way and let him explore the big wide world. He is looking forward to a future full of exploring and adventures. Boss has lots of catching up to do and would love to spend it with his new family. Boss will need patient adopters who will give him the time needed to settle in to his new home, he will make a super pet given the chance.

Boss could live with a calm quiet dog, after a successful meet at the centre, he will need an adult only home where they will be at home most of the time while he settles in.

About Us

We are primarily self-funding and the money we spend in York is raised in York and Harrogate and surrounding areas. Income is also generated by our charity shops in Goodramgate, York, Acomb and Selby.

Our poor, scared boy, Harry, has been with us quite some time now. Upon arrival Harry was absolutely petrified of everyone and everything, constantly hiding in any place he could find. Although Harry is still very scared, we have seen some great improvements, with him hiding less, and being more inquisitive about what’s going on around the cattery.

337 days Cheddar Cheese has spent sat in our kennels. A loving boy, with a cheeky personality, who has been desperately overlooked. Cheddar lived a tough life before coming to us, however this hasn’t dampened his shine, leaving him with a brilliantly positive attitude towards life - always happy and enthusiastic to see us, and his favourite volunteers.
