I walk nicely on a lead
Eli
Age: 11 years approxSex: MaleBreed: Shih Tzu
Eli came to the centre via the dog warden as an unclaimed stray so unfortunately we do not have any history on him. Eli is a really sweet boy who should be in a loving home at his time of life and not abandoned in a rescue centre. Eli is a very friendly little lad who loves to sit on your lap for cuddles and snuggles.
Sadly Eli is blind in one eye and partially sighted in the other, he is also hard of hearing but this brave little guy just gets on with life and does not let it affect him. He does rely on his people to keep him safe and make sure he is not startled by anything, adopters must all this into consideration for instance when he is asleep, he may not hear or see you properly.
Little Eli really is a lovely dog who will make a great addition to the family, he walks well with other dogs so long as they respect his space so could live with another compatible dog. He will not like a dog that will be too much for him and can live with children aged 13 years and over.
Eli does have some arthritis that he is on medication for, he takes his meds really well so please do not let this put you off. He will only need a few short walks through out the day and not long ones.
My personality...
I need someone with me most of the time
I could live with children of secondary school age
I’m quiet but full of love
I may be able to live with another dog
I love fuss and attention
