Jake

Age: 5 Years approxSex: MaleBreed: Domestic Short HairAdoption fee: £90

Jake originally came to the centre as an unclaimed stray who had turned up on a member of the public's farm, sadly he did not get along with their existing cats so he came to us for re homing. Jake was very timid when he first arrived, as time ticked away Jake began to trust us and slowly came out of his shell. He would come and sit on our knees and enjoy a fuss instead of hiding himself away. Jake has always been used to a quiet environment away from roads and busy lifestyles so we were looking for a rural home for him, sadly that home never came and he became our longest stay cat. We made the decision to give him a chance in a home in a village but unfortunately that did not suit Jake as we first thought. Jake unfortunately went missing, despite lots of searches and posters being put up Jake kept himself hidden for 10 months. We are thrilled to have him back but we now have to find him a new home away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets, we are looking for a rural home ( small holding or farm ) where it is nice and quiet for him to settle. Jake is very affectionate and really will make the most fantastic pet but we must get this next home right for him.

Jake will need an adult only, pet free home with adopters who will give him the time he needs to settle. We will wait as long as it takes to get Jake the right home so please do not be offended if we feel your environment is not suitable for Jake as we just can not get it wrong for him. He is a very special boy.

My personality...

I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home

I need to be able to go outside and explore

I’d prefer an adult only household

I’m a shy guy; I’ll need time to settle

I may be able to live with a friendly dog
