I walk nicely on a lead
Mia
Age: 4 Years OldSex: FemaleBreed: Coton De Tulear
Found their forever home!
Mia is a really sweet girl who came to the centre as her previous owner emigrated and unfortunately Mia was not able to go with them. Mia is very much a people dog and has not been able to just be a dog, when she first arrived she just wanted to be carried everywhere. Staff have been working on this and she is now beginning to enjoy going for walks and doing what dogs love to do. She still enjoys being carried but it is much less frequent than when she first came in.
Mia will need adopters who are at home most of the time and will need to help her overcome her insecurities of being on her own. If you are after a sofa buddy who will curl up next to you, or on your knee, then Mia is the dog for you. She will need adopters who are prepared to let her sleep upstairs with them, as this is what she has been used to doing. Mia will make the most wonderful best friend for her new family, she is extremely loving and affectionate and we would love to see her happily settled with her new family.
Mia has sadly not been socialised around other dogs and can find them quite intimidating so is fearful around them, her adopters will need to understand this. She will need to be the only dog in the home and can live with children aged 8 years and over.
My personality...
I need teaching that it’s ok to be alone
I could live with children of primary school age
I’m small but full of fun
I need to be the only dog in the home
I love fuss and attention
