Adopt an animal

Rhea

Age: 6.5 yearsSex: FemaleBreed: Staffy xAdoption fee: £200.00

Rhea came to the centre as an unclaimed stray via our local dog warden, she is a sweet natured and friendly girl with people and will always come and say hello. Unfortunately Rhea has not been socialized around other dogs so will require careful handling when out on a walk, she is muzzle trained and will need to wear a muzzle when out in public.

Rhea loves playing with her toys with you and this will keep her entertained and happy for as long as you will play with her, she loves being with you and struggles a bit when she is left on her own. She will need adopters who will not leave her on her own for long periods and who have experienced owning strong big dogs before. Adopters will need a secure garden with 6 foot fencing as she can escape any fencing lower than that.

Rhea is extremely affectionate and will make someone the most fantastic addition to the family. Rhea will need to be the only pet in the home and can live with children aged 12 years and over.

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO THE  COVID RESTRICTIONS WE ARE ONLY ABLE RE HOME TO ADOPTERS WHO LIVE IN THE YORK AND SURROUNDING  AREA.

WE ARE STILL UNABLE TO REHOME RHEA UNTIL THE REMAINING RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED BUT WE WILL NOW START ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR HER. DUE TO THE COMPLEX NEEDS OF RHEA WE WILL BE COLLECTING APPLICATIONS AND SELECTING THE MOST SUITABLE HOME. DUE TOTHE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE ARE RECEIVING, IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS IT MEANS UNFORTUNATELY YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL THIS TIME FOR THIS DOG. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO THE CENTRE ONCE THE RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED AND WE ARE ABLE TO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AGAIN.
