Adopt an animal

Shadow

Age: 8 yearsSex: MaleBreed: Husky

Found their forever home!

Shadow is a really sweet boy who came to the centre as sadly his previous owner was un able to keep him any longer. Shadow has spent 8 weeks in a foster home as unfortunately he ruptured his cruciate ligament, the surgery went well and he is now ready to find a loving new home. Shadow still requires some pain relief as he gradually builds up the strength in his leg again, he will require short but regular walks until that muscle is built up again.

Shadow is a very friendly boy who loves to be out and about doing new things and meeting new people, he really enjoys being with people and investigating things while out on his walk. Adopters will need to be mindful of his breed and fulfil his mind as well as his activity levels. We are looking for adopters who has previous experience with the husky breed or are willing to do the research needed for this particular breed of dog.

Shadow walks well on the lead, is housetrained and sociable around other dogs although can be a little playful with them. He will need adopters who are at home most of the time as he has never been taught that it is ok to be left on his own. He has previously lived with cats so could possibly share his home again with them. He is suitable to live with children aged 10 years and over.

DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE ARE RECEIVING, IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS IT MEANS UNFORTUNATELY YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL THIS TIME FOR THIS DOG.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO THE CENTRE TO MEET HIM.
