Steven is a sweet but very scared little guy who came to the centre as a stray in terrible condition. This poor cat was ever so underweight and had live fleas running all over him. He is putting on weight nicely, has had his routine treatment and is now ready to start his search of a forever home.

Steven is slowly coming out of his shell and learning to trust again, once he knows you he really enjoys a fuss and will relax and start to head bump you and purr. He is slowly remembering that not all people will be mean to him and that we just want to love him and make him feel better. Steven will just need a quiet patient adopter who will help him overcome his insecurities, once he has settled we are in no doubt he will make the most fantastic, loyal and loving addition to the family.

Steven will be best suited to being the only cat in an adult only home. He is suitable to be a permanent house cat.

About Us

We are primarily self-funding and the money we spend in York is raised in York and Harrogate and surrounding areas. Income is also generated by our charity shops in Goodramgate, York, Acomb and Selby.

Our poor, scared boy, Harry, has been with us quite some time now. Upon arrival Harry was absolutely petrified of everyone and everything, constantly hiding in any place he could find. Although Harry is still very scared, we have seen some great improvements, with him hiding less, and being more inquisitive about what’s going on around the cattery.

337 days Cheddar Cheese has spent sat in our kennels. A loving boy, with a cheeky personality, who has been desperately overlooked. Cheddar lived a tough life before coming to us, however this hasn’t dampened his shine, leaving him with a brilliantly positive attitude towards life - always happy and enthusiastic to see us, and his favourite volunteers.
