Adopt an animal

Ted

Age: 8.5 yearsSex: MaleBreed: Terrier xAdoption fee: £150.00

Ted came to the centre via an inspector after he was found in a very bad way in his home. It has taken many months for us to show Ted that he is safe and will never suffer again. He has bonded with most of the staff here at the centre and slowly his quirky character is starting to shine through. Once he knows and trusts you he is a cheeky, playful and loving lad but this can not be taken for granted.

Ted still has both physical and mental scars due to his past, the mental scars are the hardest to heal so we are looking for an experienced adult only owner for Ted. New adopters will need to give him the time he needs to learn to trust you and not push him, patience is needed for Ted to settle on his own terms.

Ted will need to be muzzled for any vet trips and grooming for which he is muzzled trained for, he has been through a lot so this is totally understandable. Ted deserves his happy ever after and to be cherished and loved the way he always should have been.

PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL BE COLLECTING PERFECT MATCH FORMS AND SELECTING THE MOST SUITABLE HOME FOR TED. ONCE AN ADOPTER HAS BEEN SELECTED THEY WILL BE ABLE TO MEET TED AND ALSO HAVE A MEETING WITH OUR BEHAVIOURIST. THE CENTRE WILL OFFER POST ADOPTION BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT.

My personality...

I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)

I can be left alone for short periods

I’d prefer an adult only household
