Adopt an animal

Spike

Age: 8 yearsSex: MaleBreed: Domestic Short Haired (DSH)

Found their forever home!

Spike came to the centre via an inspector after he was abandoned by his previous owner along with 5 other cats. They were all in terrible condition and were totally emaciated, poor little things were so hungry. he has now  put weight on nicely so we are now looking to find him a new home where he can begin to enjoy life.

Spike can be a little shy until he gets to know you, once settled he is a very friendly boy who just loves a fuss and a cuddle. Spike has recently had surgery on his eyes but they are healing nicely and he is ready for his new home. Spike has previously had some kind of trauma to his both his back leg and pelvis, we noticed he was weak on his back legs so he was x-rayed which showed he has had surgery to repair a fractured pelvis which has also left him with some nerve damage to one of his back legs. He copes very well with this and it does not stop him enjoying life. For this reason he will need to stay on pain relief which he takes daily on his food no bother. He will also need to stay in as a permanent housecat for his own safety.

He is suitable to live with children aged 14 years and would be best suited as the only cat.

DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE ARE RECEIVING, IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS IT MEANS UNFORTUNATELY YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL THIS TIME FOR THIS CAT.
