Support the York Animal Home this Christmas

We are very lucky to have some of the best supporters in the world. We rely on the generosity you show us every day, from volunteering as dog walkers through to making a regular donation.
There are lots of ways you can help support the York Animal Home and our furry residents this Holiday Season. Lots of you have been asking so we've put together a list of the easiest ways:
- You can make a one off donation here.
- You can set up a regular monthly donation through JustGiving.
- You can buy the animals some presents and food from our Amazon Wishlist.
- You can sponsor an animal and show them some love this Christmas, just visit any of our animal pages and click the sponsor button. This will help provide one months worth of meals to the animal of your choice.
- We can also accept cheques and other donations if you want to stop by in person or you can send them in the post to: York Animal Home, Landing Lane, York, YO26 4RH.
You can also bring donations to the animal home and pop them under our Christmas tree. If you want to pick up something specific here is a list of all of the food our animals eat on a regular basis:
- Harringtons dry any flavour
- Pedigree chum loaf or jelly
- Butchers loaf or jelly
- Chappie tins
- Go Cat kitten biscuits
- Felix Kitten pouches
- Whiskas tinned in jelly
- James Wellbeloved cat biscuits
- Burgess Excel nuggets
- Rat food
- Veg for rabbits and guinea pigs
- Budgie / Cockatiel seed
- Pedigree chum puppy tins
- Pedigree chum puppy complete
- Hotdogs
- Cheese
- Primula cheese.
- And we always need blankets and duvets, but we can't use pillows or feather duvets)
Don't forget you can pop into our Charity Shops to pick up those unique gifts and secret santa presents. Every penny spent in the shop goes back to supporting the York Animal Home.
If you don't have any spare cash this Christmas you can also help us out by sharing our social media posts. We have lots of animals that are looking for homes this Christmas and your share on Facebook could lead them to their forever family.
