I walk nicely on a lead
Bluebell & Blossom
Age: 3.5 years approxSex: FemaleBreed: Border collie crossbreedsAdoption fee: £200.00 each
Bluebell & Blossom came to the centre via an inspector after they were removed from their previous owner as their needs were not getting met along with many other dogs. They are the sweetest girls who are very much bonded with each other so we would love to try and find them a home together.
First things first, Blossom is completely deaf and Bluebell is very hard of hearing so any potential adopters will need to bare this in mind when considering adopting these gorgeous girls and do some research on having deaf dogs. This does not stop them having a zest for life and enjoying themselves.
The staff have been working hard teaching them sign language so adopters will need to carry on with the same commands we have been using. Bluebell and Blossom are happy, loving and extremely playful dogs who absolutely love a good rough and tumble with each other. Bluebell is very nervous when meeting new people and adjusting to new situations and surroundings, adopters will need to be very patient with them as to not overwhelm them when settling in. Adopters will need to be considerate and consistent, this making it helpful for them to predict what is about to happen. Deaf dogs can be easily startled so a predictable lifestyle will help them immensely. Adopting deaf dogs can be hugely rewarding and these two really will make wonderful additions to the family.
They are sociable with other dogs and will need an adult only home with adopters who are at home most of the time while they settle.
