I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
Holly
Age: 20 months oldSex: FemaleBreed: Springer SpanielAdoption fee: £300.00
Holly is a sweet girl who originally came to the centre via an inspector along with many other spaniels that were rescued from one house. Sadly due to her past and not getting the correct socialisation when she was very young, it has left her with some insecurities.
Holly is a sensitive dog who needs a calm and patient approach; if not given time and patience to take things in her own time, she can become quite overwhelmed and worried. Holly is a very sweet and friendly dog with people once she knows them. Potential adopters will need to be tuned into Holly and be sensitive to her needs.
Holly gets on really well with other dogs here at the Centre and gets a lot from being around them. We feel she would be best suited to living with another dog of a similar size/temperament after appropriate on-site meetings.
Due to Holly’s behaviour needs, she will need multiple visits on site to help build her confidence with her adopters before she can transition into her new home. We are ideally looking for adopters for Holly who have had experience of the breed or similar breeds and nature.
Holly is on behaviour medication to help with her sensitivities, and this will need to be continued in her new home (we can discuss this with you in full detail upon enquiry).
Adopters will need to be prepared to work alongside the centres behaviourist in order to make the adoption successful.
