I walk nicely on a lead
Karl
Age: 6 months approxSex: MaleBreed: Spaniel cross LurcherAdoption fee: £200.00
Karl is a sweet boy who came to the centre via an inspector after his needs were not getting met. Sadly Karl is pretty much blind and was born this way, he may be able to see slightly but it will be very blurry. As he gets older there is a high possibility that Karl will go completely blind. He does not let this affect him so please do not let this put you off adopting him. Visually impaired dogs cope remarkably well when adapting to a new home, consistency and verbal markers are a necessity when adopting a dog who is visually impaired. They learn quick to familiarise themselves with their surroundings and family. It is often helpful if they have another dog with them as well.
Karl is a lovely, kind and gentle dog who loves to be with his people getting lots of attention. Unfortunately Karl missed out on a lot of important socialisation when he was a young puppy so he has a little catching up to do.He is young, keen and ready to learn and expirience new things. He will need adopters who are at home most of the time while he settles in to family life.
Karl is suitable to live with other dogs and children aged 13 years and over.
Karl is sharing his kennel with his brother Mogwai and could be adopted with him.
