About Patch

Patch is a lovely lad who came to the centre via an inspector after he was found living in squalid conditions along with many other dogs. Due to his past being very restricted, it has left him unsure when to adapting to new situations and surroundings. He is a very sweet natured boy who is learning that there is a whole world out there for him to explore, he is beginning to understand that life can be fun and exciting but it all has to be done at his own pace.

Patch had never even walked on a collar and lead before coming to the centre so we have been working on that and he is coming on leaps and bounds. He is now beginning to enjoy off site walks and exploring the outside world, he is still learning so adopters will need to understand his needs and help him build his confidence in new situations. He now has a bright future ahead of him and can not wait to be part of a loving family. Patch has a habit of jumping up when he is feeling anxious which his new family will need to help him with. He is nervous around traffic and busy roads which we working on but this will need to continue in a home. After all he has been through, we can not wait to see him in his loving new forever home.

Patch is sociable with other dogs but does prefer the girls, he is suitable to live with another female dog and children aged 14 years and over. He will need someone at home most of the time while he settles in. Adopters will need to meet with the centres behaviourist before adoption to help with his transition in to a home.
