About Tommy

Tommy is a lovely young lad who came to the centre via The Stray Dog Service after he was found out and about n his own. Tommy is a friendly dog who is full of enthusiasm and zest for life, he likes to live life to the max and make the most of every moment of every day. 

When Tommy first arrived here at the centre, he was like a whirlwind, sadly he had not even been taught the basic training. Thankfully Tommy is a very intelligent dog who just loves to learn, the staff have worked hard with Tommy and he has been quick to learn. He absolutely loves his training sessions and is always keen to learn new things. Tommy will need adopters who are just as willing to carry on his training as he is and must be dedicated to keeping him both mentally and physically stimulated. Tommy on arrival was quite reactive on his lead towards other dogs which was down to becoming frustrated around them, with lots of positive reward based training Tommy now has quite a few dog friends and can walk sensibly passed most others. This training will be on going as he can still be a little reactive towards some other dogs, he is still very young and has so much still to learn.

Tommy is an extremely friendly dog who loves to be with his people, he is such a lovely boy who will make the family lucky enough to adopt him the most wonderful, loyal and loving best friend you could wish for.

Tommy will be best suited to being the only dog in the home and children aged 10 years and over. He will need adopters who are at home most of the time while he settles in to a routine.
