In November of 2024, we reopened our Malton charity shop with a brand new manager, Emily! With the shop coming up to its six month reopening anniversary, we thought it was a perfect time to showcase the hard work Emily has done, along with her brilliant team of volunteers.
Our Malton shop has evolved and grown under Emily’s management, with the upstairs book room quickly becoming a talking point in Malton. For all our book loving supporters, this is the charity shop for you!
Our Malton shop spreads over three floors in total, with two of those open to the public.
Located on the second floor, the book room really makes the most of the Georgian windows our shop is lucky enough to have, and that means plenty of natural light for you to peruse Emily’s bookshelves.
Upstairs is also where you’ll find the DVDs, CDs, Blu-rays and vinyl! I think you'll agree from the photos that this is a place to explore and lose yourself in finding that new book to curl up with!
Emily has a few dedicated volunteers who help organise the book room, but if you’re a fellow book lover, who has a few hours to spare a week, she’s always eager to have more help. You can always pop into the Malton shop (open Tuesday - Saturday 9am-4:30pm) to chat about the roles available.
On the ground floor you’ll find everything else, including a vintage clothing section, a very well stocked children’s section - including toys, games, books and lots more - and some quirky bric-a-brac. You’ll also discover some amazing clothes at amazing prices. For Emily the thrill of visiting charity shops is that you never know what you might snap up, and she wants to share the buzz she gets from charity shopping with her own customers in Malton.

From donations to volunteering, we need help to care for the animals that are brought to us, for so many different reasons.
