About Everest

Everest is a beautiful young girl who, sadly, hasn't had the easiest start in life. She came into the care of the RSPCA after being rescued by an inspector from deplorable living conditions alongside multiple other dogs. Due to the neglect she has experienced, Everest has been left feeling very nervous around people she doesn't know. She has experienced very little of the world and missed out on some vital early socialisation.

But despite her difficult start, this sweet girl has shown just how brave she can be. Since arriving at the centre, Everest has come on leaps and bounds. With patience, kindness and plenty of encouragement from our staff, she has faced her fears and slowly begun to discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all. She still has a way to go, but we feel she is now ready to take her biggest step yet and find a loving family to call her own.

Everest will need a family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her settle at her own pace. New people, places and experiences must be introduced slowly and gently, without overwhelming her. Even everyday household items that many of us take for granted may initially worry her, so her family will need to be patient, understanding and committed to helping her build confidence in a safe and reassuring environment.

Once Everest knows you and learns to trust you, you'll discover the most devoted little companion. She will become your loyal best friend, happiest by your side, and will love you with her whole heart. But her trust is something that needs to be earned, and the bond she forms with her special people will be incredibly precious.

To give Everest the best possible chance of a successful transition into home life, her adopters will need to commit to multiple visits to the centre to build a relationship with her before adoption.

One thing that really makes Everest's heart happy is other dogs! She absolutely adores canine company and is at her happiest when playing, having fun and enjoying the company of her four-legged friends. For this reason, she will need a home with another confident, friendly dog who is already established within the family. Having a canine companion will be hugely beneficial in helping Everest feel safe and continue to grow in confidence.

Everest hasn't had the start in life that every young dog deserves, but we know that with the right people, she has so much potential. She doesn't need a perfect home, just a special one filled with patience, understanding, kindness and love.

Could you be the person who shows Everest that the world can be a wonderful place? In return, you could gain the most devoted little best friend who, once she lets you into her heart, will love you forever.
