About Geelo

Geelo is a lovely but shy lad who came to the centre after his racing days were over. Geelo is a sweet, gentle greyhound looking for a quiet retirement home. After finishing life on the track, this graceful hound is ready to learn how to be a full-time family member. Despite his speed Geelo is a certified professional lounger who prefers soft beds, sofas and gentle head scratches over high-energy chaos.

As like all ex racing greyhounds, Geelo has never known what it is like to live as part of the family in a home environment, simple everyday things we take for granted may overwhelm him so please take this in to account when settling Geelo in to your home. Greyhounds adapt remarkably well but simple measures put in place could help the transition in to a home easier for him.

Geelo is extremely loving and affectionate when he knows you, he can be slightly reserved and shy when meeting people for the first time but once you have gained his trust, he will love you with all his heart. Geelo is ready to start a new chapter in his life storey and now all he needs is a family to share it with, he really has so much love to offer and will make someone the most fantastic addition.

Geelo could live with another dog of similar size after a successful meeting at the centre and would need an adult only home.
