Adopt an animal

Lilly

Age: 6.5 yearsSex: FemaleBreed: American Bulldog x StaffyAdoption fee: £200.00

Lilly came to the centre via an inspector after being found in horrendous condition, she was emaciated and her skin was red raw and extremely painful. Lilly has now been at the centre a couple of months while receiving veterinary treatment for her skin. Its been a tough journey for Lilly but we now feel she is ready to find her forever home. Lilly is still on treatment for her skin as she has not completely healed but she is very nearly there.

Lilly can be very nervous and unsure when meeting people for the first time which is understandable with her terrible past, once she knows you she is the friendliest most sweetest girl who loves her fusses and attention. She has come on leaps and bounds since first arriving at the centre all scared and sore. Lilly will need an understanding owner who will give her the time and patience she needs to settle.

Lilly will need an adult only home where there are no other pets. She will need several meet and greets with potential adopters. Lilly will require a garden that has a secure 6 foot fence.

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO THE  COVID RESTRICTIONS WE ARE ONLY ABLE RE HOME TO ADOPTERS WHO LIVE IN THE YORK AND SURROUNDING  AREA.

WE ARE STILL UNABLE TO REHOME LILLY UNTIL THE REMAINING RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED BUT WE WILL NOW START ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR HER. DUE TO THE COMPLEX NEEDS OF LILLY WE WILL BE COLLECTING APPLICATIONS AND SELECTING THE MOST SUITABLE HOME. DUE TOTHE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE ARE RECEIVING, IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS IT MEANS UNFORTUNATELY YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL THIS TIME FOR THIS DOG. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO THE CENTRE ONCE THE RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED AND WE ARE ABLE TO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AGAIN.

My personality...

I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)

I need teaching that it’s ok to be alone

I'd prefer not to live with a cat

I’d prefer an adult only household

I’m a gentle giant (big and strong)

I’d prefer to be the only dog in a home

I love food and treats
